Malta Tourism Authority commissions production of Malta climbing videos

Following a call for tenders earlier this year, the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) has commissioned local freelance producer “Bryan Azzopardy” with the production of two high definition video features on sport climbing and deep water soloing in the Maltese Islands.  A third production will feature both disciplines.  Clearly, the videos will be used by the MTA in its overseas marketing campaigns to continue to develop the Maltese islands as a valid alternative for foreign climbers seeking “sun rock” in attractive locations overseas in both summer and winter.

The production of these videos is definitely a step in the right direction and it is  very encouraging to see that the MTA is investing in the promotion of our sport.

Bryan has already started filming over the past weekend, taking advantage of the fact that top Italian climber Andrea Gennari Pareti was on the island repeating some of the hardest routes. See also our gallery.

It is expected that top Maltese climbers will be keen to be filmed climbing some of Malta’s hardest routes in a rare opportunity to “star” in such a prestigious production!
